When to read: Just my opinion, after the Fantasyland books, Chrestomanci books, and Castle books.

About: A traveling singing/entertaining family travels across Dalemark, which is currently split up, North against South. The family is traveling in the treacherous south, when their father mysteriously dies, and their life changes drasticly. They find out many plots against them, and help the good ol' North!!! Wooo hooo! I, personally, loooooved the ending, though it kinda ended abruptly, but is supposedly picked up again in the second book.
