Howl's Moving Castle

When to read: Just my opinion, after the Fantasyland books, and Chrestomanci books.

About:Sophie is the oldest of two sisters: Lettie and Martha. Their father has died and their stepmother, Fanny, has sent both the younger sister's to go make names for themselves somwhere. But Sophie, being the eldest, stays in the hatshop and makes hats for her stepmother to sell. But one day, she gets on the bad side of the Witch of the West, and she turns Sophie into an old woman. Sophie flees her hatshop to find Wizard Howl's moving castle. She makes friends there and cleans house for them. (Howl is very vain, and very messy) They don't know she's an old woman, the spell prevents her from telling so. Sophie gets stuck up in many different plots, but, magically, in the end, all the plots connect and are solved. Hehe.
