The Chronicles of Chrestomanci, Volume
2
When to read: Just my opinion, after
the Fantasyland books, and after The Chronicles of Chrestomanci, Volume
1.
About: 2 stories, The Magicians of Caprona, and Witch Week
The Magicians of Caprona is set in a world where, instead of Italy uniting,
it is instead still formed in city-states. In one of these city-states
are two magical families, who guard the town but have been fighting
for about a century: The Montana's and the Petrocchi's. But the city-state
Caprona is about to be put to seige because of the magical spells of
both warring families is wearing off. Uh-oh!!! What will they do???
I liked this story, there was a lot of "coinsidences" in it,
and it made you think, and try to figure things out. But don't worry,
everything's wrapped up by the fabulous ending!!!
Witch Week is about a world where witches are real, but are hunted down
and hated and where magic is a swear word. A teacher of the class 6b,
in a boarding school, has received a note that says: "someone in
6b is a witch". There's millions of conspiracies, which involve
not only students, but teachers as well. Everyone suspects someone else.
Who wrote the note? Who's the witch? Was it all a joke? The conspiracies
thicken, and surprises are thrown throughout the whole book. The ending
is DA BEST!!! Everyone gets a chance to save their world too. ^_*
